About the Role
GNB Global Inc. is a manufacturing and construction services company specializing in engineered fabric tensioned steel-framed buildings. As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for a Welder Helper to join our exciting team in a fast-paced environment in Rhome, TX. Position Responsibilities:
Assisting welders and fitters in the fabrication of metal and steel structures
Setting up work as required for welding
Loading and unloading trucks
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to use various shop tools and equipment (saws, drills, press, grinders)
Spanish speaking an asset
Ability to read tape measure to 1/16”
Forklift-certified
Experience working in a steel manufacturing or production environment
Plasma cutting experience a definite plus
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Work Environment:
Frequently push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for extended periods of time
Work in extremely hot or cold environments
Work in extremely dusty environments
Work in extremely noisy environments
Work in environments with dangerous and/or objectionable fumes with exposure to fumes from:
Metals that include aluminum, antimony, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, silver, tin titanium, vanadium, zinc
Gases that include argon, helium, nitrogen, carbon dioxide
Welding processes that include nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, phosgene, hydrogen fluoride, carbon dioxide
Galvanized material

Work Shift:
AM Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (overtime as needed), half days Saturday
PM Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (overtime as needed), half days Saturday
Night Shift differential - $2/hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
