
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled SolidWorks Designer who is passionate about design and possesses a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating intricate 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks software. From concept development to final production, the SolidWorks Designer will play a crucial role in bringing our ideas to life with precision and creativity.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and project objectives.
Utilize SolidWorks software to develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings according to project specifications.
Translate conceptual sketches, design briefs, and technical drawings into accurate and manufacturable SolidWorks models.
Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and design best practices.
Iterate on designs based on feedback, making necessary revisions and adjustments to optimize functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
Generate technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and product specifications.
Stay updated on the latest SolidWorks features, tools, and techniques to enhance design efficiency and productivity.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities by providing design expertise and making design modifications as needed.
Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
Uphold high standards of design integrity, quality, and innovation in all aspects of work.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a SolidWorks Designer or similar role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Proficiency in SolidWorks software with a strong understanding of parametric modeling, assembly modeling, and drawing creation
Excellent knowledge of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for precision and craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
Prior experience in fabric or steel industry is a plus
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task with ease
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a self-imposed desire to exceed every day expectations
High degree of technical accuracy
Sound decision-making and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Collaborate with GNB, through regular meetings to create a strategy for business development in the market area
Assist in the development of viable options for growth
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-Suite level
Manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment with periodic travel in an industrial steel and fabric fabrication environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, precise measuring instruments, and other design and engineering related tools.
