About the Role
GNB Global is looking for a skilled, bilingual Fitter to join our team! In this role, you’ll read and interpret blueprints, prepare materials, and perform precise fitting operations for steel structures and components. We’re seeking someone with strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a focus on maintaining safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Cut, shape, and fit metal components according to specifications.
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals.
Assemble and fabricate metal structures using welding and fitting techniques.
Operate welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect finished welds for quality and adherence to specifications.
·Troubleshoot welding issues and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding is a plus.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required
Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Proficiency in MIG, Flux core and Stick welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding procedures.
Skilled in operating hand and power tools related to metal fabrication.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Stand, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach frequently.
Frequently push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy environments.
Handle steel components and fabrication tools.
Wear PPE including gloves, face protection, and steel-toed-boots.
Work around cranes and moving equipment.
Work in environments with dangerous and/or objectionable fumes with exposure to fumes.
Metals that include aluminum, antimony, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, silver, tin titanium, vanadium, zinc
Gases that include argon, helium, nitrogen, carbon dioxide
Welding processes that include nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, phosgene, hydrogen fluoride, carbon dioxide
Galvanized material
Work Shift:
AM Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (overtime as needed), half days Saturday
PM Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (overtime as needed), half days Saturday
Night Shift differential - $2/hour
